Hey, y’all!

Welcome to my new photography blog! Yay! I have loooved every minute of developing my new branding (okay, I did get a little stressed over fonts Monday evening, but it’s all good now! ๐Ÿ™‚ ). I am very pleased :D.It has been SO wonderful interning with Jessica Shae. The things I’ve learned (and am still learning; it’s not over yet ๐Ÿ˜‰ ), the tremendous help she’s been to me, the great times we’ve had: it’s all been worth it :).So, the first day, Jessica had us choose 5 words to describe our style. I immediately knew what mine would be:
Colorful, content, happy, real, and natural :).

Then, she gave us 30 minutes to look through some artsy and intriguing blogs she recommended. The assignment was to find 20 pictures that we liked to collage for inspiration.Haha, okay, people, I was SO pleased with how mine turned out I kept staring at it, absorbing the wonderfulness of it, and just exclaiming my pleasure spontaneously. (I do that with new things I like…like when I bought a bookshelf last year, I would sit in bed and stare at it for literally 15 minutes straight just getting used to it and enjoying it being there….yeah, I have quirks ๐Ÿ˜‰ ). So, here it is for y’all to see :D.

(Oh, for those of you who recognize your pictures in this collage, I hope you don’t mind ๐Ÿ™‚ )

So, after some fun/hard work on branding, we ate lunch at “Chipotle” (good stuff ๐Ÿ™‚ ), then headed to a little park for photo shoots. Jessica paired us up to practice on each other. The super sweet and fun Carissa Koehn (pronounced “Cane”) was my partner :).

(Hey, see the new watermark? I think this is the one I’m gonna stick with ๐Ÿ™‚ )Oh, Carissa, you look stunning!

And here we four interns are (well, our shadows ๐Ÿ™‚ ) having fun under a bridge by the park.

ย
Then a mother ( who is expecting a little girl ๐Ÿ˜€ ) and her two little kids came out for us to see how Jessica handles a family shoot and for us to practice as well.

Mrs. Christie Hill was SO gorgeous and very very funny.

Bailey and Chance love her very much; it’s evident they’re very close.

The kids did a great job and they were just all around cute :).

Hooray! My first blog post on the new and improved blog is done! Hehe ๐Ÿ˜€ More to come soon about how the rest of the internship goes :).

ย

Have a blessed day!
With a smile,
{ Rachel Leigh }
