Lydia’s surprise going-away party {gilmer, tx engagement and portrait photographer}

May 23, 2011

This was really fun :D.

You see, Lydia Covey (the sweet faced blonde you see below ๐Ÿ˜‰ ) is going to Colorado for part of the summer. So, Sarah Jarvis (the gal in the middle of the picture above) thought a surprise going-away party was an excellent idea. And it was! We had a splendid time :D.

Sarah went ALL out on everything! Check out this beautiful food!

I thought the salad especially beautiful ;).

At the end of the day, Sarah let each of us take home a little cluster of roses from this bouquet :).

She went SO out, it looked like a wedding reception :D.

The brunch was delicious.

Yes, it was very bright, and some of us got sunburns, but it was worth it :).

Then we moved to the partly shaded area of the deck and had a great time talking :D.

Then we had a GRAND time walking down the road and taking pictures :D.

Now I’ll finish introducing everyone :). First there’s Sophie Covey; she’s Lydia’s younger sister :). Then of course Lydia whom I’ve already introduced. Sarah, same thing. And then there are the Ramsey sisters: Johanna and Emma :). Aren’t they all gorgeous?! I had so much fun taking pictures of them :D.

They’re a happy bunch :D.

Had to take a “band” picture ;).

Then I risked my camera’s life and set it on the road to do some self timer shots so I could be in the group! ๐Ÿ˜€

Sophieeeee, you look gorgeous!

Sarah looking so pretty and happy as always :D.

And she rocks the model face! BAM!

And here’s lovely Emma :D. (Oh, and Sarah made that pin that’s in her hair, by the way ๐Ÿ™‚ ).

Emma, you have such a sweet smile :D.

And lastly, Johanna :). Work it! ;D. (Sarah made her pin as well ๐Ÿ™‚ ).

It was a lovely day :).

With a smile,
{ Rachel Leigh }

    Oh, the bright memories these pictures bring back! I think my favorite part had to be popping up from behind the couch, singing Lydia's 'going away song', and the uncontrollable giggling that was inevitable almost the entire day. ๐Ÿ™‚ Oh– and the coffee and cupcakes! Can't forget those. ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚
