*10 on 10 Project.* The beginnings of summer :) {mt. pleasant, tx engagement and portrait photographer}

June 10, 2012

Surprise!
I know I told y’all on Thursday that my next post would be on Monday about camp. Well, I forgot that this weekend was 10 on 10 Project time! So here’s a Sunday post πŸ˜€Β (by the way, I’m posting this right before I head out the door to go toΒ our church meeting. The Lord’s Day was made for His people and I’m so thankful for it πŸ™‚ ) .
“Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.Β
Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for He is faithful that promised;)Β
And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:Β
Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”-Hebrews 10:22-25
Now here’s a glimpse of my yesterday :).
My brother Daniel’s 22nd birthday was yesterday! We celebrated with him, his WIFE (:D), Josiah Graves (one of his groomsmen from the wedding), Brad Rychlik, and my family at a Sushi restaurant! Well, I forgot to bring my birthday card for him, so I stuck it in the mailbox the next day with some change for a stamp :).
Walking back to the house from the mailbox :). Here comes Buddyyyy! Aaaah! Haha :D.
I just started reading Pride and Prejudice for the second time in my life (yeah, I know, you’d think I’d read it more times than that). The first time I read it, I was 14 I think, so it’s fun reading it again after so long! :D. And hey! Do any of you long time blog readers recognize this spot from this favorite post of mine? πŸ˜€
When I walked into the den after reading for a little while, Jay was watching El Dorado!! It’s my favorite John Wayne movie :D. I grew up watching these kind of movies at my Papa and Mamie’s house :).
Watching movies in the summertime…yay :).
Another thing I love about summertime is the gardenias!! Mom cuts some and puts them all around the house to make it smell maaarrrvelous πŸ™‚ :). And if you’ve never smelled a gardenia, go find one at a flower shop and smell it!! You’ll never forget it :).
Mom’s hand got stung by wasps while she was working in the yard (she’s ok!), so I made the dinner: chicken and spaghetti :).
Thomas Achord? This one’s for you (and the select few who know why this is funny. Hahaha). Yes, I can crush cans…moving on…Hahaha.
That’s Jay in the chair (and he’s not just wearing the cowboy boots to get in the mood; he wears those everyday. Haha). And do you notice the cards on the mantle? Mom’s really holding on to Mother’s Day. Haha ;D. They are pretty up there though :).Oh, wait! I stand partially corrected. Lol. Mom has informed me that one of those cards is an early birthday card (her birthday is this Thursday πŸ™‚ ).

I worked some in the yard too: picked up limbs Mom cut off of bushes. This is me sweaty and tired afterwards. Haha. (ok, I did wipe most of the sweat off my face before I thought of taking a self portrait. So I looked worse than this. Haha).
To relax, I started reading through my quote book :). I started this on my 16th birthday and have loved collecting encouraging truths and beautiful things ever since then :). (and witty quotes, as you can see πŸ˜‰ ).
May your Lord’s Day be very blessed and restful :).
With a smile,
{ Rachel Leigh }
P.S. Don’t forget to check out Kiley’s 10 on 10 project!
