Next week, my family and I are heading to…FLORIDA!!When I was little, we used to go to Destin, FL every summer. It’s one of our very favorite places; we love the relaxation, the seafood ;), and of course the beach itself.

So, in honor of our love for Florida, I thought I’d post some old pictures from past vacations there when we were little :D.

Let’s start in 2001.

(Oh, and these were all taken with a disposable camera; those things are so fun 😀 )

Here I am at 8 1/2 years old (when you’re little the half makes a lot of difference 🙂 ). What I love about this picture is that Mom captured the water rushing over me. That was what she was going for actually! She’s always been so creative :).

One wonderful and unique thing about Destin and the surrounding beaches is the WHITE sand!! Sure, it’s blinding at midday, but in the morning and the evening it’s breathtaking. Oh, and this is Mom and I :).

Here’s my brother Daniel and I :D. He was 11 years old. Don’t we look cute?! Hehe 😀 Oh, and yes, I was very short for my age, but I eventually got tall! I’m 5’6 now and I don’t think I’m getting any taller. I like my height :). Ok, gotta get back on track :D.

And here we are a year later, 2002!Dad was 47, Mom was 38, I was 9 1/2, Daniel was 12, and Jay was 15. Oh, and every single time we go to the beach (even now) we dig a hole…a very big one. We don’t build sand castles, we dig holes. Haha :D. It usually ends up that little kids will come and want to help us with it :D.

Haha, well…turns out we’ve decided to cancel going to Florida next week and we’ve rescheduled for August :). Which’ll be MUCH better since the water will be warm enough for swimming and my brother Daniel and my friend Allix B. will be able to go!! 😀 Well, this made a fun post anyway. Haha 😀
