How this all came about is a fun story :D.
If you didn’t know, my dad (along with being a pastor) is a dentist and I’m his office manager :). Well, last year, I saw this beautiful, red haired girl walk in! She was seeing the other dentist in our building, but I thought “I’m gonna give her my card.” So, I stuck my head out the walk up window before she left and said “Hey! I just wanted to say you’re so pretty and I love your hair and if you ever need senior portraits done or something, I’m a photographer! Here’s my card.” She said she’d be a senior next year and she’d keep me in mind!
Well, this February, I saw her walk in again! She went straight to the other window, so I just went back to what I was doing. Then I felt someone was looking at me. I looked up and she was sticking her head through the window said “do you still take pictures?” Haha. And so after much schedule changing, crazy weather, and sickness (I had pneumonia last month. Bleh :P), we FINALLY were able to get together to shoot her senior portraits :D. We had SO much fun!! She laughed and was just beautiful the whole time :D.
This is her favorite facial expression; I called it her snarky face. Haha.
Her eyes <3 And her face in general :).
She could not be more excited to go to the University of Arkansas this fall :D. She’s wanting either to be a physicians assistant or a physical therapist for kids! Shelby, you’ll be great at either; you’ll make the patients smile :D.
And this is her best friend Iley! It was her farm land we took pictures on :D. Iley faithfully carried things and made Shelby laugh when I told her too ;D.
Aren’t best friends…the best? Haha.
Seriously, her smiling face is just like a ray of sunshine :D.
This was her reaction when she realized she forgot her cap and gown. Hahaha.
Shelby, you are just so pretty.
I dramatically teased her saying “Now, I want you to go out into the water”, but then she said “I could do that.” Me: “Really?! I was just teasing ’cause that’s like the super artsy shot photographers do, but it would be awesome!” And it was :D.
Had to get some more best friend shots in the beautiful light :D.
Bear hugs are the best :D.
This is what best friends look like :D.
And so ended that beautiful day. Thank you SO much, Shelby!! You did fabulously :D.
With a smile,
