October 11th was a good day :).
+Jaseย and +Rebekah became husband and wife and it was joyous :D.
And so, we begin :D.
ย 1. being the only one of its kind; unlike anything else.
That describes Rebekah to a “t.” There is no one like her and I am so blessed to know her and call her my friend and sister in Christ :). (If you didn’t see her aMAzing bridal session, you should check it out! I talk a bit more about her ๐ )
Jean Ochs was the best personal attendant in history :D. She rocks :).
Cutie ๐
Beauty.
Rebekah is half Argentine (her mother is from Argentina) so I KNEW her wedding was going to have a Latin flair. Ever since she was little, she’s dreamed of having roses in her hair on her wedding day and that dream finally became a reality :D.
Hair was done, so it was time to join the others!
Hey, recognize her friend? That’s ’cause I shot HER wedding last summer! And at the same church! And now she’s pregnant with her and Zack’ first child: a son named Aiden Quinton :D.
They’ve been buds since childhood :D.
Mrs. Ely ๐
Rebekah with her lovely mother: Mrs. Nora :D.
My mom painted this painting for Jase and Rebekah, by the way :D.
Rebekah is the artist, but Jase is the poet (a really good poet). So, it was no surprise that he included a poem he wrote in his note to her :).
Her flowerrrrrrs. Aaaah. LOVED them.
Then it was time for me to visit the guys getting ready!
Where Rebekah is the tropical bird, Jase is the wise old owl (she has specifically described him as that to me. Hehe). But a joyful one! God has prepared the perfect husband for Rebekah in Jase :D.
Suave, Jase.
+Stephen (one of Rebekah’s brothers) serenaded some of the other groomsmen. Hahaha.
The guys :D.
Yeah, they rocked this little walkway.
Jase and his guys have so much fun; it’s contagious :D.
Stephen: “Look at Michael’s shoes.”
+Michael (the guy on the far left) was permitted to wear Converse in the wedding. Hehe.
Then they just kept laughing and looking at each other’s shoes. Haha :D.
After I told them to all buddy hug, we quickly realized Michael needed to be moved. Hahaha.
Me: “Now y’all look at Jase!”
Hahaha
And for some reason, when Jase is trying to be goofy, he just makes a completely straight face. Hahaha.
*poke*
Now, for proper introductions!
Like I said earlier, this is Michael: Michael Ford. At the rehearsal dinner, Jase described him and Michael as opposites, but that in no way stops them from being great friends :D.
+Taylor Steele: best man and married friend extraordinaire :D.
I mentioned Stephen earlier too. Stephen Gates: a brother of Rebekah’s and now brother in law and good friend of Jase’s :D.
+Colin Skinner: goofy, happy, and also married friend of Jase’s :D.
And this is Rebekah’s other brother: Andrew. Jase hasn’t been able to get to know Andrew as much since he lives in Colorado, but they’re getting along splendidly :D.
And last, but not least, +Austin Dooley: another great friend :D.
As I tried to show them how I wanted them arranged, Jase exclaimed “Flying ‘V’ formation, guys!” Thank you, Jase. Haha :D.
Too cool.
Finishing up!
Getting in the dress!!
Rebekah’s dad, Mr. Jim, arrived ready to see his little girl :D.
Rebekah is the youngest and the last one to get married. The week of the wedding he told her “It’s hard to give you away…but I like Jase.” :’)
๐
She is her father’s daughter :D.
Wow.
๐
Sweeeet :D.
And she sure does love her momma :).
The whole family :D.
Time to take pictures of Rebekah and her girls!
Beauuuuutiiiiiifuuuuuul :D.
These girls are adorable :D.
Now for the girls’ introductions!
Rebekah and her sisters whom she loves :D.
And they love her; to bits :D.
Jennifer Record comes first :).
And then Elizabeth Champagne :).
And I reminded y’all of Elizabeth Jennings earlier :D.
Jenny Cross is Rebekah’s college friend who came to know the Lord through their friendship :’). And in turn, Jenny has encouraged her; especially since she’s been married to a Godly guy for a couple years now :).
Amy Ochs: she and Rebekah have known each other since childhood :). Rebekah described her at the rehearsal dinner as the “steady heart.”
Natalie is one of Jennifer’s daughters: Rebekah’s niece! Rebekah adores her nieces :D.
And Abriana is Natalie’s older sister: another niece of Rebekah’s! :D.
And Erica is one of Abriana and Natalie’s younger sisters: another beloved niece :D.
Regan Hargrave: a dear old friend who’s now married and pregnant with her first child! Life is changing and it’s good :D.
Regan: “I can’t believe you’re getting married!”
Beautiful :D.
Giddy with excitement. Hehe :D.
Yay for getting a picture with my bride friend ๐ :D.
Rebekah wanted a picture with Jean and quite right to :D. If you didn’t make the connection, Jean is Amy’s younger sister, so Rebekah’s known her her whole life too :D.
Now these next two people came all the way from Argentina to attend the wedding!
First is Martin Lopez: Rebekah’s cousin :D.
And then Martin’s dad Daniel: Rebekah’s uncle :D. It meant SO much to Rebekah and her family for them to be there :D.
Gotta get back inside! Almost time!
Rebekah wrote him a letter back :).
‘Bout to start! ๐
+Evan Jennings, Tony Leiter, andย +Tom Bowles were the ushers :).
+Michelle Okpewho, Cassy Groom, and +Laura Blunk were the prettiest attendants :D.
And then the beautiful ceremony began ๐
Stephen wrote a beautiful song especially for the watering of the tree.
His lovely wife Abigail sang it with him :).
At last ๐
๐ ๐
๐
Wedding partyyyy! They were all so great and in the best mood after seeing their dear friends tie the knot :D. Everyone was! ๐
Hooray for family pictures outside!
Then we had some time at a pretty park before joining everyone at the reception :).
And I was going to ask them to share their love story, but they already wrote it so beautifully for their engagement picture blog post (Regan Hargrave took their engagement pictures), I’m just going to link to that for you to read here! :). It’s a precious story :).
Stunning.
These two just make me smile :D.
Mr. and Mrs. Ely ๐ :D.
๐
๐
Their faces!! :D.
๐
*Swoon*
๐
Dream boats, I’m tellin’ ya.
Happy happy dream boats ๐
Loved this moment ๐
Oh <3
Happiness ๐
Me: “Let’s end with an awesome kiss!”
Rebekah: “Was that awesome enough?”
Me: “Haha, yeah.” ๐
Everyone’s speeches were great :D.
…and brought the best reactions :D.
Their “second hug” ever. Haha ๐
The dancing at this wedding was consistently awesome :D. I had such a great time photographing it and entering in a few times too :D.
After this shot…
I jumped in. Haha.
…aaaaaand
…got it. Hahahaha.
๐
Testing out a lantern foooooor…
…their “Tangled” lantern send off!!!
An enchanting ending to a wonderful day :D.
Thank you, sweet Rachel, for preserving such wonderful memories with so much skill. You did a great job, even though it was a lot of work!!!
Wowza! Such a gorgeous wedding, and adorable couple! You captured them well ๐
Loved the expressions during the speeches, and oh wow! The lantern set off was sooo pretty! (makes me want to do it at my wedding;) lol!
Oh, Rachel these are ALL beautiful, but I especially love the portraits. The lighting you captured is just magical!
